What is conference about?

The purpose of this conference is to inform and encourage undocumented and immigrant high school students* in the Twin Cities area to attend college. This conference is designed to equip you with the tools to graduate from high school and move towards the next step: attending a college or university. Learn about preparing and applying for college, financial aid, and self and community advocacy, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet with Minnesota College and University representatives! Minnesota College and University representatives will be present the day of the conference during the scheduled time of the college fair. Inspirational local leaders will also be visiting and speaking. In addition, very useful information through presentations and handouts will be available, including scholarships lists, lists of immigrant-friendly schools, and college access guides for undocumented/immigrant students. Thank you for your time. We look forward to seeing your students at the conference! Sincerely, The NAVIGATE Team For questions, email team@navigatemn.org www.navigatemn.org * Undocumented/Immigrant students who might have already graduated About NAVIGATE (www.navigatemn.org): Mission: NAVIGATE is a leadership development program for immigrant young adults in Minnesota facing financial, social and legal barriers to achieve their dreams through changing unjust systems. Through NAVIGATE, these young adults help their community and themselves by working to access college education, jobs and legal status. NAVIGATE was created to address the growing need for resources that help immigrant students, regardless of immigration status, in Minnesota to pursue higher education.
