The Austin Human Rights Commission works to cultivate a just and inclusive community where diversity is valued and human rights are respected.

The commission is made up of citizens of Austin who live within the city limits and are appointed by the Mayor to uphold the rights of every individual in our community, regardless of:

• Ethnicity

• Gender

• Age

• Sexual Orientation

• Physical or Mental Ability

• Economic Status
