The Advocates for Human Rights supports immigration laws that meet international human rights standards, including due process, freedom from arbitrary detention, respect for the unity of the family, protection of refugees and protection of workers.
The Advocates monitors immigration-related legislation in Minnesota and the U.S. and advocates for internationally recognized human rights for everyone in the United States. Through leadership in the Detention Watch Network and partnership with Rights Working Group, we work in national coalition with organizations and individuals to educate the public and policy makers about the U.S. immigration detention and deportation system and advocate for humane reform so that all who come to the U.S. receive fair and humane treatment. In our home state of Minnesota, we partner with AFFIRM, a Minnesota-based coalition for immigration reform.
Take Action! Call for respect of the human rights of migrants in the United States.
