Setting The Stage
In Lessons One and Two, the class examined: (1) U.S. citizens' perceptions of immigration; (2) the history of immigration to the United States.
Lesson Three explores immigration in the present and various goals of the United States' immigration policies. The class will examine the numbers and the impact of both legal and illegal migration and will explore the three main reasons people come ot this country: family, employment, and refuge from persecution.
