The Immigrant Legal Resource Center has prepared a guide for immigrant youth which reviews a variety of important topics, including information about citizenship, how to get a green card, getting a drivers license, and going to college.

Information About the Immigration Raids
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been significantly increasing raids on places of employment and homes of suspected undocumented immigrants. Find out more about the raids, including how to be prepared for a raid in your community.

Information for Asylum-Seekers
The Advocates provides free legal assistance to asylum-seekers who live in Minnesota, and to torture-survivors seeking asylum who reside in North or South Dakota. Find out more about our services and whether or not you qualify for assistance.

Free Legal-Advice Clinic

Assistance with Preparing for the U.S. Citizenship Test

Post 9/11 Report from The Advocates (PDF)
The Advocates has released the report "Voices from Silence", which details the impact of 9/11 on the lives of immigrants, refugees, and religious minorities in Minnesota. This report documents personal stories of fear and discrimination in a post-9/11 environment, and contextualizes them with an overview of laws and policies that have affected these communities.

Opportunity to Submit Post 9/11 Experiences
The Advocates encourages individuals anywhere in the U.S. who have had experiences of fear or discrimination related to 9/11 to share their stories to avoid further “suffering in silence” and to promote dialogue. The submission of positive experiences in bringing communities together in the aftermath of 9/11 is also important. Find out more and share your stories.
